1) Health and Safety Policy

Abroad Safety Academy (ASA) is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our learners, trainers, visitors, and staff. We will ensure that all our training activities, whether online or offline, comply with relevant occupational health and safety laws and internationally recognized safety management principles.

Objectives:

  • Provide safe and well-maintained training premises with fire safety measures and first aid availability.
  • Dispose waste safely and responsibly after taking measures to reduce, reuse, recycle and recover.
  • Provide appropriate information, training and resources on HSE to all employees and other interested parties to cultivate safe behavior.
  • Ensure employee's consultation and participation in Environmental Health and Safety affairs.
  • Prevent accidents, injuries, and work-related ill health.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Management: Ensure safety policies are implemented and reviewed annually.
  • Trainers: Follow safe working practices, report hazards, and maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Learners: Cooperate with safety instructions, avoid unsafe acts, and report hazards.

Implementation:

  • Fire extinguishers and emergency exits will be maintained and inspected.
  • First aid kits will be available and monitored for readiness.
  • Incident reporting system will be in place.

Review: Annually or after any incident.

2) Complaints Policy

Abroad Safety Academy (ASA) is committed to delivering high-quality safety training. We recognize that, occasionally, learners or clients may have concerns. This policy provides a fair and transparent process for handling complaints.

Scope: Applies to all learners, corporate clients, trainers, and visitors.

Procedure:

  1. Informal Resolution: Raise the concern with the relevant trainer or course coordinator.
  2. Formal Complaint: If unresolved, submit a written complaint via email to the Grievance Officer within 10 working days of the issue.
  3. Investigation: The complaint will be acknowledged within 3 working days and investigated within 10 working days.
  4. Outcome: A written response will be provided, including any corrective actions.
  5. Appeal: If unsatisfied, the complainant may appeal to the Director within 5 working days of the decision.

Confidentiality: All complaints will be handled in confidence, in compliance with our Data Protection Policy.

3) Equality and Diversity Policy

Objectives:

  • Promote equal access to all courses and resources.
  • Provide reasonable adjustments for learners with disabilities.
  • Ensure recruitment of trainers and staff is merit-based and non-discriminatory.
  • Incorporate diversity awareness into training content where relevant.

Implementation:

  • Trainers and staff will receive periodic equality and diversity awareness training.
  • Learning materials will be free from discriminatory language and imagery.
  • Any discriminatory behavior will be addressed promptly through disciplinary procedures.

4) Data Protection and Data Privacy Policy

Abroad Safety Academy (ASA) respects the privacy of all learners, staff, and partners. We handle personal data in compliance with the Indian IT Act 2000, relevant state regulations, and, for international learners, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data Collected:

  • Personal identification (name, date of birth, ID proofs)
  • Contact information (email, phone, address)
  • Academic and professional qualifications
  • Payment details (handled via secure payment gateway)

Use of Data:

  • To enroll learners in courses
  • To maintain academic and certification records
  • To communicate course updates and results
  • For compliance and audit purposes

Data Protection Measures:

  • Secure storage in encrypted systems.
  • Access restricted to authorized personnel only.
  • No sharing of data with third parties without consent, unless legally required.

Data Retention:

  • Academic and certification records: Minimum 5 years.
  • Financial records: As per statutory requirements.

Rights of Data Subjects:

  • Right to access, update, or request deletion of personal data.
  • Right to withdraw consent for non-essential communications.

5) Refund and Cancellation Policy

Abroad Safety Academy (ASA) aims to be transparent about fees, refunds, and cancellations for all learners and clients.

Course Cancellation by ASA:

  • Full refund if the course is cancelled by the academy.
  • Option to transfer enrollment to the next available batch.

Cancellation by Learner:

  • Before course start date: 80% refund (20% retained as administrative fee).
  • Within 7 days after course starts: 50% refund.
  • After 7 days of course start: No refund.

Special Circumstances: Refund exceptions may be considered for medical emergencies, subject to written proof.

International Courses: Refunds for courses affiliated with international bodies (NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.) will follow the respective awarding body's refund policy.

Refund Process:

  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Accounts Department.
  • Approved refunds will be processed within 15 working days.
